Pitched to Flat roof transition

The transition from pitched to a flat roof is a “prone to failure” area if not installed correctly. It’s difficult to imagine a big enough rain that creates a 6” deep pool in this area before the water can find its way off the roof but it happens. A fluid applied membrane that’s properly installed 14” or more up and under the shingles or metal is the only way to prevent a leak. Sure it’s a lot more work, however, the paying customer deserves our best effort.
