Pull test on a silicone repair
Much to often we are asked to provide a low cost solution to failed repairs or a poorly installed coating. In this case the building was partially coated with silicone over a bitumen cap sheet which if properly cleaned, it would have done its job. In some areas the silicone adhered properly but to be sure, we conducted a pull test. The new silicone held to a pressure of 9 lbs as measured with my trusty fishing scale. If the manufacturer approves a long term warranty, we will move forward with a new PROPERLY installed silicone coating. I will post the result in the near future. Fred@farr2cool.com
